TOWERBROOK takes majority stake in ID UNLIMITED

FRANCE Chemicals & Materials / Packaging & Containers / Labels & Adhesives REV 100M - 200M EUR

Context

Dentressangle sold its entire 90% stake in ID Unlimited, a French sports equipment personalisation specialist, to TowerBrook Capital Partners. TowerBrook announced the deal on March 25, 2026, taking more than 75% of the capital, with the balance held by management led by chief executive Jocelyn Robiot, who joined in 2022. Raphaël Feuillet, partner at Dentressangle, said the family holding had wanted a buyer with a foot both in Europe, where the company's core market sits, and in the United States, so that its European success could be replicated there. TowerBrook is drawing on its seventh fund, still being raised, for its first investment in France since it bought KPMG's small and mid-sized business unit, now Rydge Conseil. The firm said it will support international expansion, particularly in North America, through operational investment, geographic growth and targeted acquisitions in adjacent markets. Edouard Peugeot, a managing director at TowerBrook, said the firm sees opportunities to grow the business globally. Dentressangle had held the business, formerly known as Flexdev, for 15 years, a period in which it completed seven external acquisitions, including The Emblem Source in the United States, Aneyron in Spain and Polygraphic in the Netherlands, and opened production sites in Turkey. Jean-Louis Savoye, co-chief executive of Dentressangle, said the company equipped half the clubs in the 2024-2025 Champions League and that its size and profitability had doubled over four years, with revenue now of .
