TK ACCELIS went public
Context
thyssenkrupp spun off its materials distribution and supply chain services division by transferring 49% of the shares in tk accelis Group to its own shareholders, keeping 51% and remaining the strategic anchor of the business. Shareholders approved the transaction at an extraordinary general meeting on 7 August 2026, and each received one tk accelis share for every twenty thyssenkrupp shares they held. The listing on the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange was targeted for 28 October 2026. Market estimates put the business at an enterprise value of €3.6bn, an EV/EBITDA multiple of 15x–25x. tk accelis generated revenue of €5–15bn and an EBITDA of €150–250M on a segment reporting basis, an EBITDA margin of [members only], against a target of 4% to 5% on an adjusted basis. It employed around 15,500 people, operated some 400 sites in more than 30 countries, served about 250,000 customers and bought from roughly 11,000 suppliers. The spin-off formed part of thyssenkrupp’s ACES 2030 plan, under which the conglomerate turns itself into a financial holding company overseeing independent businesses, each with its own management and its own access to capital markets. For tk accelis, the listing opened that access directly and gave it greater financial flexibility than it had within the group.

Target
tk accelis supplies industrial companies with the materials they need and manages the flows that bring them there. It buys steel, metals, plastics and other raw materials, holds them in its own warehouses, cuts and processes them to the dimensions and tolerances its customers require, then delivers them to their production lines, often to schedules synchronised with their own output. Around that it runs supply chain management services and digital tools that track stock, anticipate needs and plan procurement. Its customers are industrial manufacturers, in sectors ranging from aerospace and defence to data centres and electrification, served from a network of sites in Europe, North America and other regions.
