FIFE CREAMERY acquired by KITWAVE GROUP

UNITED KINGDOM B2B Specialized Distribution REV £25–50M

Context

Kitwave acquired the entire issued share capital of Fife Creamery from the founding Simpson family in a transaction announced on 18 July 2026. The purchase transferred total ownership of the Scottish regional food distributor to the Newcastle-based delivered wholesale operator, allowing Graeme Simpson to retire from his position as company chairman alongside the full departure of the founding family shareholders. Fife Creamery generated annual revenue of £46.5m. At the time of the transaction, Fife Creamery operated an extensive refrigerated fleet and employed a regional logistics and administrative workforce based at its main operating depot in Kirkcaldy. The transaction expanded Kitwave's delivery network across Scotland, integrating specialized multi-temperature supply capabilities and regional customer accounts alongside its existing northern English and Scottish warehousing depots. Fife Creamery maintained its independent commercial identity, retaining managing director Steve Appolinari and the existing operational management personnel to oversee distribution yards, transport scheduling, and regional supplier partnerships. Muckle LLP provided exclusive legal counsel to Kitwave. The buyer and the selling shareholders concluded the transfer through a bilateral share purchase contract following mutual corporate clearances.

The acquisition of Fife Creamery is part of the growth strategy of Kitwave Group, which already has several external growth operations under its belt, notably Creed Catering Supplies in 2024.
