Credit Mutuel Equity invests in Netcloud

Crédit Mutuel Equity acquired a minority stake in Netcloud in July 2026, investing alongside EGS Beteiligungen, which manages part of the Ernst Göhner Foundation’s assets in companies tied to Switzerland. The historical shareholders kept a significant part of the capital and remained in charge of the business. The transaction followed a change in the shareholder structure announced in April 2026. Founded in 1998 and based in Seuzach, in the canton of Zurich, Netcloud builds and runs the networks on which its customers’ operations depend. It designs the infrastructure, installs it, connects sites to cloud platforms and then operates the whole of it on their behalf, monitoring availability and responding when something fails. Around that it provides cybersecurity services, watching for intrusions and securing the access points a connected network exposes. Its customers are Swiss organisations, its only market. Combining infrastructure, cloud and security in one provider addresses a practical difficulty for mid-sized organisations: each of the three requires specialists who are scarce and expensive to retain, and the boundaries between them are where failures occur. Outsourcing all three to a single supplier removes both the recruitment problem and the question of who is responsible when a fault crosses those boundaries. Swiss organisations have also faced tightening obligations on how data is held and how incidents are reported, which has pushed work towards providers able to document their compliance, and towards those keeping the data within the country.
