UNTUCKIT acquired by RANDA
Context
Randa Apparel & Accessories acquired Untuckit from its founders and existing shareholders in a deal announced on 1 September 2026, adding a direct-to-consumer menswear brand with estimated sales of . Randa Apparel will still operate the business on a stand-alone entity. Untuckit founders Chris Riccobono and Aaron Sanandres, who met at Columbia Business School, remained with the company, with Sanandres continuing as chief executive officer and Riccobono as the brand's public face, and their team was expected to remain intact. Randa, a privately held New York company founded in 1910 as a neckwear manufacturer, funded the transaction from its balance sheet and described itself as a long-term strategic buyer. The deal gave Randa a direct-to-consumer brand with an e-commerce operation and a retail footprint of about 70 stores across the United States, following the closure of around a dozen unprofitable or undersized locations, including its Madison Avenue store in New York. Untuckit had at one point operated more than 80 stores. Randa planned to draw on Untuckit's e-commerce, brick-and-mortar retail and consumer data capabilities for its other businesses, while adding capital, global sourcing and retail relationships to Untuckit, with plans for a larger number of stores to open and a search for a larger flagship space on Madison Avenue. Randa's portfolio of owned, operated and licensed brands included Haggar, Totes, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi's, Tribal, Columbia Sportswear and Cole Haan.
