Lovelytics acquired by CDW

UNITED STATES IT Services / Consulting & Integration / Data & AI Consulting EV $500M–1.5bn

Context

CDW acquired Lovelytics from Interlock Equity on 25 September 2026, for approximately 525 million dollars in cash, at an enterprise value of $500M–1.5bn. Founder and chief executive Scott Love continued to lead the business, which operates as a subsidiary of the group. Founded in 2017 and based at Arlington in Virginia, Lovelytics advises companies on organising and exploiting their data, then builds the systems that do it: migrating information out of legacy databases, structuring it for analysis and deploying the artificial intelligence applications running on it. Its clients operate in energy, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, financial services and media, and it employs more than 600 people across the United States, Canada, Argentina and Colombia, all working exclusively on data and artificial intelligence. The firm built its position on a single platform, Databricks, which companies use to consolidate data previously held in separate systems. Implementing it requires engineers trained on that software and familiar with the industry concerned, and Databricks itself co-invested in Lovelytics alongside Interlock Equity, the first such investment the publisher made in a consulting partner. Under Interlock Equity, which invested in 2023, headcount rose from 60 to more than 600, through recruitment in North America and the establishment of delivery teams in Argentina and Colombia. For CDW, which distributes technology and supplies the services around it, the acquisition adds a capability its customers increasingly require before they can deploy artificial intelligence at all, most such projects failing on the state of the underlying data rather than on the models. Canaccord Genuity advised Interlock Equity and Lovelytics, with Massumi + Consoli as legal counsel, while Sidley Austin and Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg advised CDW.
