Argus Fire Protection acquired by MITIE GROUP

On 24 October 2024, Mitie Group PLC announced the acquisition of UK-based Argus Fire Protection Co Ltd. The transaction adds in revenue and in EBITDA (for the fiscal year ended 31 March), significantly bolstering Mitie's technical capabilities in the UK's £3 billion fire and security market. Integration will be overseen by Jason Towse, Managing Director of Mitie Business Services, alongside Argus Fire Managing Director Matt Lincoln. Argus’s executive management team has committed to remaining in place, providing operational continuity and leadership for the next growth phase while leveraging Mitie's balance sheet as a listed group. Strategically, the deal establishes an end-to-end solutions provider capable of delivering design, installation, inspection, and maintenance services for high-risk buildings. Mitie plans to capture substantial cross-selling opportunities by deploying Argus’s fire suppression and alarm systems across its existing blue-chip client base. The acquisition builds on Mitie’s programmatic M&A strategy, following previous bolt-on transactions across the security engineering sector.

By taking control of Argus Fire Protection, Mitie Group continues its expansion strategy. Previously, the group had completed 2 acquisitions, including Marlowe in 2025.
