Obsequio Group acquired by Warren Equity Partners

Beech Tree Private Equity sells its entire holding in Obsequio Group to Warren Equity Partners, concluding an investment cycle that began in 2023. This cross-border transaction transfers control of the compliance services platform, which currently generates annual sales of £70M, to the US-based private equity fund. The initial 2023 investment phase, originally supported by a dedicated acquisition facility from Beechbrook Capital, provided the financial financing required to execute the integration of six complementary businesses over a two-year period. The execution of this definitive secondary buyout coincides directly with the simultaneous bolt-on acquisitions of Belfast-based Atlas World and Chatham-based PLP Fire Protection, executing a deliberate strategic roadmap to rapidly increase geographic coverage and localized service capabilities. During the preceding ownership period under Beech Tree Private Equity, Obsequio Group scaled its top-line performance significantly from an initial baseline of £ 17m. By finalizing this acquisition, Warren Equity Partners secures an established network capable of addressing increasingly stringent regulatory requirements within the life safety arena. To execute the competitive transaction and facilitate the cross-border handover, the selling shareholders mandated Clearwater to act as the primary sell-side M&A advisor. Furthermore, Browne Jacobson structured the legal perimeters of the exit on behalf of the sellers. Conversely, Warren Equity Partners retained Alvarez & Marsal to conduct the buy-side M&A advisory and support the transaction mechanics.
