Grupo Visegurity acquired by MITIE GROUP

Mitie Group plc has taken control of Grupo Visegurity for an enterprise value of €11M. In the twelve months to 31 December 2023, Visegurity generated revenue of €18M and an EBITDA of €1.5M, reflecting modest growth in a highly fragmented Spanish facilities‑management market where most operators offer single‑service propositions. By adding Visegurity’s national security licence, manned‑guarding, alarm‑response and access‑control capabilities to the portfolio already built by Mitie Spain – which was expanded earlier this year with the acquisition of Biservicus – Mitie strengthens its cross‑sell proposition to an enlarged blue‑chip client base spanning local government, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and telecoms. The deal also supports Mitie’s three‑year Facilities Transformation plan (FY25‑FY27), which targets accelerated organic and inorganic expansion in Spain through deeper integration of security services within its broader FM offering. The acquisition is expected to enhance margin expansion opportunities by leveraging Mitie’s scale, data‑driven operational platforms and existing procurement synergies, while preserving Visegurity’s 600‑plus staff under the Mitie Spain umbrella. Management highlighted the strategic fit and the potential to capture additional market share in a sector where demand for integrated security solutions is rising.
