Veta+ acquired by MSA Mizar

SPAIN Facility Management / BPO & Outsourcing REV 1m EUR - 100m EUR

Context

MSA Mizar acquired the entire share capital of Grupo Veta 2017, trading as Veta+, in November 2024. Kartesia, the Franco-Belgian private debt manager that held the main stake, and the company’s founding partner both exited in full. Columna Capital had backed MSA Mizar since 2022. Founded in 1971 and headquartered in Madrid, Veta+ handles insurance claims on behalf of insurers and financial institutions, principally on homes and buildings. When a policyholder reports damage, it takes the file from the declaration onwards: it assesses the damage on site or remotely, estimates the cost, organises the repair through its network of tradespeople and follows the file through to settlement. It operates through five companies covering digital claims handling, software development, loss adjusting and repair work, handled more than 700,000 claims a year and employed over 350 people. MSA Mizar supplies services and software to the insurance industry, mainly in motor claims, serving more than 45 insurance groups. The purchase took it into multi-risk claims, a segment adjacent to its own: the same insurers are the buyers, but the handling differs, since a motor claim is standardised and settled quickly while property damage requires inspection, costing and coordination of repair work. Acquiring an established operator was the only way to obtain that capability at once, along with the network of adjusters and tradespeople it rests on. The transaction also established the Italian group in Spain, where it had little presence, and gave it technical expertise it intended to deploy across its other European markets. Oaklins acted as co-financial adviser to the shareholders of Veta+.
