Literacy Capital invests in AMPLIFY5
Context
Literacy Capital made a significant minority investment in amplify5, the British offshoring services provider, in a transaction announced on 6 November 2024. Founder Alastair Brass stayed at the head of the business as chief executive, and the capital was provided to fund its growth under his continued leadership. It was the twenty-fifth investment made by the fund since its inception, and the second significant minority stake it had taken in quick succession, after the digital marketing agency Campfire. Literacy Capital agreed heads of terms and completed the transaction in less than six weeks. The money was earmarked for opening additional sites in Cape Town, increasing the company’s operating capacity and strengthening its team, alongside continued investment in the technology underpinning its service delivery. Richard Pindar, chief executive of the fund’s investment manager, described amplify5 as a rapidly growing business taking a new approach to offshoring. Hogan Lovells advised Literacy Capital on the transaction.
