MEDISSIMO acquired by CORAVIA
Context
Coravia acquired Medissimo, the Poissy-based maker of secure pill organisers, in a transaction announced on 15 October 2026, alongside a 19 million euro minority investment by NextStage AM in its own capital. Medissimo generated revenue of €5–25M, taking the combined group to 35 million euros and around 250 employees. The purchase made Coravia the leading French supplier of semi-automatic equipment for preparing medication doses, the machines and software with which pharmacists fill the organisers used by elderly patients. Coravia had entered that market in 2021 by acquiring Oreus, which serves the pharmacists that care homes subcontract to fill their residents’ organisers. Medissimo covers the other half of the market, the pharmacists preparing organisers for patients living at home, which founder Alexandre Bataille presented as giving the group the whole of it. The acquisition fitted a sequence built since 2016, when Bataille bought the slipper manufacturer Fargeot & Cie and turned its therapeutic footwear brand Podowell into the core of the business. Oreus followed in 2021, then CRMS in 2024, which installs call systems in care homes and hospitals, and shortly afterwards Telegrafik, the Toulouse start-up developing sensors to support independent living at home. All of them share the same customers: Coravia counts 7,000 pharmacists among them.
