INFLEXION takes majority stake in RANGER FIRE AND SECURITY

UNITED KINGDOM Facility Management / Maintenance / Security & Guarding REV 50M - 100M GBP

Context

Inflexion completed a majority investment in Ranger Fire and Security, the fire and security services platform operating across the United Kingdom and Ireland, in a deal announced on 15 June 2026. The investment was made through Inflexion Enterprise Fund VI, the firm's lower mid-market fund, while existing investor Hyperion Equity Partners made a substantial re-investment alongside it and the management team also reinvested. At the time of the deal, Ranger generated revenues of more than and employed over 500 people, having completed 25 acquisitions since its launch with Hyperion's backing. Chief executive Mark Bridges and the rest of the leadership team stayed in post. Inflexion pointed to Ranger's acquisition record and to the scope for further integration of back-office functions across the group as the main reasons for investing. The new capital was to fund continued purchases of local fire and security businesses, the core of Ranger's growth model, and to build a genuinely national platform, with the possibility of expanding into continental Europe later. Hyperion partner Dylan Smith said the firm's re-investment reflected its conviction in Bridges and the Ranger team. PwC provided sell-side financial and tax due diligence for Ranger, with Gateley Legal advising the management team, while Inflexion was advised by Oppenheimer and Addleshaw Goddard.

Target

Ranger Fire and Security installs and maintains fire and security systems across the United Kingdom and Ireland, covering fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting, sprinklers, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control, together with the inspection and maintenance that keep these systems compliant. It works as a group of local fire and security companies that keep their own names and customer relationships while sharing back-office functions, which lets it serve a single site or a national estate under one contract. Its customers are businesses, charities and public sector organisations, and it is headquartered in London.
