El-Team Vest acquired by Mitie Group

DENMARK Industrial Services / Multi-technical Installation EV £10–30M

Context

Mitie Group acquired El-Team Vest on 16 April 2026 for an enterprise value of £10–30M, including deferred payments linked to performance. Founded in 2007 and based at Horsens with a second site at Kolding, El-Team Vest designs, installs and maintains electrical systems for buildings: power distribution, data and fibre networks, fire detection and security systems, and the controls governing heating, ventilation and lighting. Recent work includes an electrical retrofit for Velux and turnkey contracting for the Danish headquarters of ABB and DSV. It employs more than 65 electricians, project managers and installers, and generated revenue of £5–25M with an EBITDA of £0–5M in the twelve months to 31 December 2025. Data centres explain the purchase. A hyperscale facility requires fire detection and suppression, access control and surveillance installed to standards governed by insurers as much as by regulation, and the contractors qualified to deliver them are few in each Nordic market. Mitie had been serving Microsoft, Google and Equinix in the region through GBE Converge, acquired in 2023, which generates around 95 million pounds of revenue with roughly 30% of it in the Nordics. The Nordic countries have drawn a disproportionate share of European data centre construction, on low-carbon electricity, available grid capacity, a climate reducing cooling costs and planning regimes that permit building at scale. El-Team Vest became Mitie’s fire and security centre of excellence for the region, providing technical and commercial oversight to the group’s operations there.

By taking control of El-Team Vest, Mitie Group continues its expansion strategy. Previously, the group had completed 3 acquisitions, including Argus Fire Protection in 2025.
