ROCSCIENCE acquired by HEXAGON

Hexagon agreed on 9 October 2026 to acquire Rocscience, the Toronto-based developer of geotechnical engineering software, from TA Associates and the company’s founders and management, including John Curran and Thamer Yacoub, at an enterprise value of , an EV/revenue multiple of 10.7x. Rocscience was expected to generate revenue of in 2026, more than 80% of it recurring, with EBITAC margins above 40%, and Hexagon expected the deal to add to its net income from completion. Closing was expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to conditions. Rocscience was to join the Radar & Monitoring division of Hexagon’s Infrastructure & Geospatial business. Hexagon’s sensors and radar systems measure what is happening on a site, while Rocscience’s software predicts how ground and structures will behave, and the group planned to connect the two so that live measurements feed directly into engineering models, from design through construction and operation. The aim was to spot emerging risks earlier, act on them faster and cut the time spent on analysis.

In the past, the company underwent an LBO led by Ta Associates in 2024, and continued an active consolidation strategy by notably acquiring 2si (2025).
