PAPREC takes majority stake in BRANTNER GREEN SOLUTIONS

Paprec agreed to acquire an 80% stake in Brantner green solutions, the environmental arm of the Austrian family-owned Brantner Group, with the family keeping the remaining 20% and continuing to support the business. The company generated annual revenue of more than €250–500M and employed nearly 2,500 people across 65 sites, serving over 28,000 customers among local authorities and businesses. The purchase took Paprec into Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Romania and Serbia, five countries where it had no presence, and opened central and eastern Europe to the group after its earlier moves into Switzerland, Spain and Italy. It planned to bring its recycling and recovery technologies to municipalities and companies in the region. On completion, Paprec expected to employ around 26,000 people in 15 countries and to generate annual revenue of more than 4.5 billion euros. The agreement remained subject to the required regulatory approvals.

By taking control of Brantner Green Solutions, Paprec continues its expansion strategy. Previously, the group had completed 3 acquisitions, including Gbp Metal Group in 2026.
