EURAZEO takes majority stake in MIYA WATER
Context
Eurazeo agreed to acquire a majority stake in Miya Water from Antin Infrastructure Partners, investing through its Eurazeo Planetary Boundaries Fund, in that fund’s fourth investment. Antin had owned the company since 2020. Miya Water’s founders and management team, led by executive chairman Noam Komy, were to stay at the head of the business and remain significant co-investors alongside the fund. Eurazeo planned to support the company’s growth by strengthening its organisation and pursuing targeted acquisitions in a market that remains fragmented, and by backing its expansion into new countries. The investment was led for Eurazeo by Erwann Le Ligné and Wilfried Piskula, managing partners and co-heads of the Planetary Boundaries Fund.
Miya Water had already undergone several LBOs in the past, notably in 2019 with Bridgepoint and in 2020 with Antin Infrastructure. These multiple LBO cycles illustrate the strong appeal for this type of asset.
MIYA WATER, which reported an EBITDA margin of in 2026, is valued in this transaction at an EV/EBITDA multiple of .
Target
Created in 2007, Miya Water helps water utilities reduce the volume of water lost between production and the consumer, known as non-revenue water, which disappears through leaks in the network, unauthorised use or faulty metering. It surveys networks to locate leaks, repairs and renews pipework, manages pressure, installs and manages meters, and puts in place the monitoring systems that keep losses down over time. In Portugal, it also operates water supply and wastewater concessions on behalf of municipalities, running the service directly for residents. Its customers are public and private water utilities, and it has worked on projects in Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
