OTTOBOCK HUMAN MOBILITY acquired by DHCARE

DHCare has entered into an agreement to acquire Ottobock's Human Mobility business, which specializes in manual and power wheelchairs, as well as pediatric mobility solutions. This transaction is part of Ottobock's strategy to refocus its resources on its core, high-growth businesses, including prosthetics, neuro-orthotics, and exoskeletons. The divested business generates approximately €80 million in annual revenue, employs around 270 staff members, and comprises the German Human Mobility companies, as well as veldink4Kids, a Dutch specialist in pediatric wheelchairs. For DHCare, this acquisition represents a major strategic milestone and its first since the group's reorganization under its new shareholder structure. The deal significantly expands DHCare's mobility solutions portfolio and strengthens its presence in several key European markets, particularly in the DACH region, where Human Mobility has a long-standing strong position. By combining their expertise, DHCare and Human Mobility aim to create a pan-European platform that can offer an expanded range of clinical solutions, technical services, and after-sales support to patients, healthcare professionals, and payers. The transaction is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026.
