BEMYCOMPANY CAPITAL PARTNER invests in ACETAIA FONDO MONTEBELLO

Bemycompany Capital Partner acquired a minority stake in Acetaia Fondo Montebello, the balsamic vinegar producer based in Pozza di Maranello. The Lodi holding company, led by chief executive Antonio Quintino Chieffo, took an initial 8% of the capital and committed to raise its holding to 16% by March 2020 through a further investment. At the time of the deal, the Modena producer generated revenue of €0–5M and an EBITDA of €0–5M, an EBITDA margin of [members only]. The Piccolo-Cantile family had owned the company outright since 2013, and Francesco Piccolo stayed on as chief executive. The opening of the capital followed a mandate he had given in 2019 to AC Finance, also founded by Chieffo, to present the company’s new business model to third parties and bring in outside investors. Bemycompany Capital Partner had been set up a few weeks earlier with capital of 2 million euros, targeting small and medium-sized companies with revenue of between 500,000 and 15 million euros, room to grow and positive results over the previous three years.
