BC Partners took control of DentalPro, the Italian dental clinic chain, acquiring it from Summit Partners, VAM Investments and other private investors in a deal announced on 22 May 2017 that valued the company at an enterprise value of . Summit Partners had held 58% since April 2015, with VAM Investments, private investors and the founders holding the remaining 42%. Founder Michel Cohen continued as chief executive and kept a stake alongside the management team, and the transaction remained subject to regulatory approvals.
