ARCUS INFRASTRUCTURE PARTNERS takes majority stake in SK PHARMA

GERMANY Transport & Logistics / Logistics / Warehousing / 3PL REV 50M - 100M EUR

Context

Arcus Infrastructure Partners agreed on 1 October 2026 to acquire SK Pharma Logistics, the Bielefeld-based contract logistics provider for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, through its Arcus European Infrastructure Fund 4, with the management team led by chief executive Frederik Günther reinvesting. The sellers were Syz Capital, Saturnus Capital and founder Stefan Krone. At the time of the deal, SK Pharma generated revenue of and ran eight temperature-controlled warehouses across northwest Germany. Completion was expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory clearances. Syz Capital had taken a controlling stake in 2022 together with Saturnus Capital, a private equity firm focused on the DACH mid-market, with the aim of growing the family business organically and through acquisitions in a fragmented sector. During that period, SK Pharma bought Med-X-Press, a contract logistics provider based in Goslar with more than 215 employees, around 20,000 pallet positions, cold-storage capacity and a controlled-drugs warehouse with more than 4,500 pallet positions. Arcus was selected at the end of a competitive sale process. Jordan Cott, partner and head of logistics and industrials at Arcus, said the fund would draw on its experience of building logistics infrastructure businesses to expand capacity, broaden the service offering and pursue selective acquisitions. Lincoln International advised the sellers on the sale, with Latham & Watkins as their legal counsel, while Kearney and Noerr advised Arcus.

Target

Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Bielefeld, SK Pharma Group provides contract logistics for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry in Germany. From its network of temperature-controlled warehouses in northwest Germany, it stores, handles, repackages and distributes medicines under GDP and GMP rules for pharmaceutical manufacturers, importers, wholesalers and other healthcare companies, alongside value-added services. Its own warehouse management system links customers' ERP systems with warehouse operations and carrier networks, so that orders are processed automatically and each shipment can be traced in real time.
