SEADRAULICS acquired by ASHTEAD TECHNOLOGY

AUSTRALIA Industrial Services / Equipment Rental REV 1m USD - 100m USD

Context

Ashtead Technology acquired Seadraulics, the Perth-based supplier of ROV tooling and support services, in a deal announced on 19 June 2026. Founder Colin Reeve and his team joined the group, and Reeve said he was pleased to be joining a company of Ashtead Technology’s quality and ambition. The purchase gave Ashtead Technology a direct presence in Australia and the wider Asian market, where Seadraulics supports offshore projects across the full life of subsea infrastructure, from site characterisation and construction through inspection, maintenance and repair to decommissioning. Chief executive Allan Pirie presented the deal as a platform to build a full-service offering for customers in Australia, combining Seadraulics’ specialist capabilities with the group’s global services network and its existing strengths in the region. It was the group’s eleventh acquisition and came as it continued to invest in its technology portfolio and international reach, having bought Seatronics and J2 Subsea from Acteon Group in November 2024 and ACE Winches in November 2023.

The acquisition of Seadraulics is part of the growth strategy of Ashtead Technology, which already has several external growth operations under its belt, notably Seatronics in 2024.

SEADRAULICS, which reported an EBITDA margin of in 2026, is valued in this transaction at an EV/EBITDA multiple of , a level to compare with the average currently observed in the Business Services sector (11.4x).
