LTP acquired by GITP

NETHERLANDS Professional Services / HR & Capital REV 1m EUR - 100m EUR

Context

GITP acquired LTP in October 2026, its fourth acquisition since Knop Investments took control at the end of 2024, after VDS Training Consultants, the client portfolio of MK Leads and Ludens Talentontwikkeling the previous month. LTP assesses people on behalf of the organisations considering them. When a company is choosing between candidates for a senior position, deciding who to promote or judging whether a management team can carry out a change of strategy, it puts them through tests and interviews designed to measure aptitude, motivation and the way they work with others. The methods rest on psychological models drawn from academic research rather than on the judgement of an interviewer, which is what clients buy: a basis for the decision that can be explained and defended. The firm traces back to 1927, when the Laboratorium voor Toegepaste Psychologie was established at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, making it among the oldest consultancies of its kind in the Netherlands. It works from Amsterdam Zuidoost with further offices in Eindhoven, Rotterdam and Groningen, and around 90 people joined GITP, taking the combined number of consultants and trainers to roughly 215. GITP, founded almost eighty years ago as the Gemeenschappelijk Instituut voor Toegepaste Psychologie, covers a wider range: assessments alongside strategic HR advice, leadership development, talent management and coaching. Buying LTP deepened the assessment side and let it connect what the tests reveal to the training and development it already sells, the same client being addressed twice. Knop Investments had backed the group since the end of 2024 on an acquisition strategy in a market divided among small consultancies, each holding its own client relationships and its own psychologists.
