IDIA CAPITAL INVESTISSEMENT, BNP PARIBAS DEVELOPPEMENT & MULTICROISSANCE invest in RECAERO
Context
The Pobeau family reorganised the shareholding of RECAERO, the aeronautical parts manufacturer based in Verniolle, Ariège, bringing in a pool of regional and national investors made up of Grand Sud Ouest Capital, SOFILARO, IDIA Capital Investissement, BNP Paribas Développement and Multicroissance. IXO Private Equity, which had backed the company for several years, including through the Covid crisis and the war in Ukraine, sold its stake, while the family stayed at the head of the group with Nicolas Pobeau as chairman. GSO Financement, the private debt fund of the Crédit Agricole regional banks of the Grand Sud-Ouest, provided the financing. The new shareholders were to support a growth phase combining organic development and international expansion, particularly towards North America, along with a stronger industrial value chain to meet rising demand from the defence sector. The investor pool was represented by Laurent Mazard, Amandine Bachelot, Manuel Potier, Adrien Tawegoum, Emmanuel Del Agua, Philippe Disconzi and Laurent Sauvade, with Cédric Fontaine and Sandrine Vieux-Rochas also involved for IDIA Capital Investissement. Véronique Bernat led the financing for GSO Financement, and managing partner Jean-Luc Rivière handled the exit for IXO Private Equity.
RECAERO, which reported an EBITDA margin of in 2025, is valued in this transaction at an EV/EBITDA multiple of , a level to compare with the average currently observed in the Industry & Manufacturing sector (11.5x).

Target
Founded in 1993, RECAERO is an industrial group specialising in the manufacture of high value-added aeronautical parts, mainly for the spare parts, retrofit and maintenance support (MRO) markets. The group has built a niche position on its capacity to reindustrialise critical parts, combining certified design (DOA), production, repair (Part 145) and composite materials within a single integrated offer. Its customer base is made up of major aerospace and defence manufacturers, including Airbus, Safran and Dassault. Production relies on a complementary industrial footprint split between France and India, where the group operates a best cost subsidiary. The French operations are based in Verniolle, in the Ariège. The offer addresses both spare parts and speed shop demand and the production of small and medium-sized series.
