HERMES TRANSPORTES BLINDADOS acquired by LOOMIS

Loomis AB has agreed to acquire a controlling stake in Hermes Transportes Blindados, marking Loomis's strategic entry into the Peruvian market. This transaction represents the largest acquisition in Loomis's history, underscoring its commitment to expanding its footprint in Latin America, which the company has identified as a priority region for external growth. The rationale for the acquisition is heavily based on the attractive characteristics of the Peruvian market, which exhibits one of the fastest economic growth rates in the region, a stable macroeconomic environment, and a high prevalence of cash usage. Loomis anticipates that the integration of Hermes will be immediately accretive to its operating income and earnings per share. Strategically, the acquisition is expected to facilitate growth within the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) segment, accelerate the development of automated cash-handling solutions, and generate significant synergies, particularly within the mining sector. For the seller, CVC Capital Partners, the transaction constitutes a full exit from its investment after a six-year partnership during which Hermes expanded its service offerings and strengthened its market leadership position.
