D-Fend Solutions acquired by Motorola Solutions

Motorola Solutions acquires D-Fend Solutions, an Israeli leader in counter-drone technologies, to strengthen its public safety ecosystem with airspace protection capabilities. The transaction, completed in August 2026, integrates D-Fend's RF cyber-takeover technology into Motorola Solutions' portfolio. The strategic logic rests on technological complementarity. D-Fend brings to Motorola Solutions a non-kinetic and precise anti-drone mitigation capability, which complements the acquisition of Dedrone (RF-based detection) completed in late 2024. This combination enables Motorola Solutions to offer an end-to-end C-UAS stack, from detection to mitigation, through the same sales channels as its radios, body cameras, and dispatch software. The integration of D-Fend allows Motorola Solutions to provide comprehensive air-to-ground security, equipping frontline teams with improved situational awareness and response capabilities to unauthorized drone threats. Motorola Solutions' global presence and long-standing relationships with public safety agencies, federal administration, and enterprises are expected to accelerate adoption of D-Fend's technology. Zohar Halachmi, co-founder and CEO of D-Fend, retains his position and will lead Motorola Solutions' anti-drone platform as Senior Vice President.
