Context
The Reggiani family and CVC Capital Partners (CVC) are pleased to announce the signing of a strategic investment agreement in Clevertech, a leading Italian industrial automation solutions provider with a global presence. Upon completion of the transaction, CVC will acquire 100% of the share capital of Clevertech S.p.A. from REFA S.r.l. (REFA), the Reggiani family's holding company. REFA will reinvest alongside CVC as a minority shareholder, ensuring seamless continuity in the company's governance and strategic execution. Giuseppe Reggiani, the group's founder and engineer, will retain his role as Chairman and CEO. Umberto Reggiani will continue as Commercial Director, Enrico Reggiani as CFO, and Simone Cervi as Technology Director. The ongoing involvement of the current management team will be a key driver in supporting the group's future development, in close collaboration with its employees, customers, and business partners. This partnership with CVC will enable Clevertech to accelerate its growth trajectory, support its international expansion, and increase investments in innovation, thereby strengthening its market-leading positions. The transaction, subject to customary regulatory approvals, is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. CVC's investment will be made through its CVC Capital Partners IX fund.
