PRO MECH acquired by CONQUIP

UNITED KINGDOM Industrial Services / Equipment Rental REV £5–25M

Context

Conquip Engineering Group acquired Pro Mech, a ground support systems provider based in Hampshire and East Sussex, in a transaction announced on 25 September 2025. Pro Mech generated a turnover of £5–25M prior to the acquisition. Founded in 2000, the company had remained independent until the deal. Its range of excavation support equipment included hydraulic braces, frames, trenching sheets, sheet piles, ancillaries and Road Forms, which complemented Conquip's existing buy-and-hire offering. The acquisition strengthened Conquip's presence in the UK ground support market and expanded the range of equipment available to its customers through a network of seven regional locations. All Pro Mech employees remained with the business, while Matthew England, the company's director, kept his existing role and joined Conquip's management team. The deal also gave Pro Mech access to Conquip's established infrastructure and broader customer base, including its relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors. For Conquip, the acquisition offered an opportunity to develop its business with water and utilities contractors and broaden its existing customer relationships. The combination brought together two complementary businesses in excavation support, with Pro Mech retaining its team and operational continuity under its new ownership.
