Context
Origin Seal has completed its first international acquisitions by taking over the Dutch companies Polson and MBC Group. This strategic move adds approximately €12 million in combined revenue to the group and significantly strengthens its presence in the maritime sector. The transaction was supported by a comprehensive bank refinancing structured with LCL, Crédit Agricole, Société Générale, CIC, and Amundi. The former owners of Polson and MBC have reinvested into the parent holding company and joined the executive committee. The strategic rationale is to accelerate internationalization and capitalize on a highly active pipeline of European targets with individual revenues up to €30 million.
Target
Polson and MBC Group are Dutch specialists in industrial sealing solutions with a dominant market position in the maritime and shipping industries. The companies share a common ownership structure and operate on a B2B model characterized by high criticality and a highly fragmented customer base. Their value proposition centers on providing mission-critical sealing components that ensure the operational resilience of maritime vessels and industrial equipment. Strategically, these entities serve as the primary international bridge for their parent group, bringing deep expertise in the Dutch industrial landscape and expanding the technical portfolio to include specialized maritime applications.
