IK PARTNERS takes majority stake in SELATEK
Context
IK Partners has signed an agreement to acquire Selatek Holding AB from Amplio I, in a leveraged buyout (LBO) of the Swedish technical installation platform. The IK X Fund will become the majority shareholder of the group, replacing Amplio Private Equity, which is exiting its stake after approximately four years of ownership. Headquartered in Stockholm, Selatek is a Nordic technical services platform operating in the security, electrical, and building automation sectors, serving industrial environments and infrastructure. The group has recently expanded through the acquisition of Levinsgruppen in 2021 by Amplio, followed by a consolidation process of local specialized companies. At the time of the transaction, Selatek employs over 900 staff across around 30 sites in Sweden, serving approximately 6,000 clients, primarily in sensitive environments requiring recurring and critical technical services. Under Amplio's ownership, the group has experienced rapid expansion through a combination of organic growth and targeted acquisitions, strengthening its position in high-value-added segments, particularly complex security and automation installations. IK Partners plans to continue this strategy by combining organic growth with build-up acquisitions, focusing on geographic expansion in the Nordic countries and enhancing the mix towards recurring service activities. The fund also intends to leverage its sector expertise in industrial services to support operational improvements, including procurement and resource planning.
