BUILTECH GROUP acquired by VDK GROEP

VDK Groep acquired Builtech Group from Auctus Capital Partners, in a transaction announced on 27 November 2025 and still subject to clearance from the European Commission. Builtech generated revenue of €549m and an EBITDA of €50–100M, an EBITDA margin of [members only], and entered the transaction with 51 companies and more than 2,000 employees. The enlarged group was to comprise over 150 businesses and more than 7,000 people across six countries, with combined revenue of about 2 billion euros. Auctus had built the platform from a first investment in a Berlin technical building equipment company in 2018, approached directly, then added businesses in selected metropolitan regions, reaching 50 add-on acquisitions by 2025. It installed an external management team in late 2020, led by Maurice von Dalwigk and Daniel Lehmann, and launched the sale process in 2024 with Bank of America as adviser. Von Dalwigk stayed on as chief executive of Builtech. For VDK Groep, the purchase opened Central and Northern Europe and, according to the group, placed it among the three largest players in Germany alongside its position in the Netherlands. The two businesses shared a model built on regional companies keeping their own customers and management, and both pointed to the decarbonisation and digitalisation of buildings as the demand driving their markets.
